This receiver-ready EPO Stinger jet is pre-painted and takes less than an hour to build. Designed for simple everyday flying, the model is hand launched and lands on its belly, which is protected with plastic covers. The wings are reinforced with carbon fiber and the magnetic canopy hatch allows quick easy access to the flight battery. We recommend a 3S 1600 - 2200mAh LiPo battery to run the included 64mm ducted fan. The 30A ESC is air-cooled. All you need to provide is a receiver and your flight battery.
The Stinger does not have a landing gear.

Great plane(Posted on March 25, 2013) Flew this for the first time this past weekend. Handles great, trimmed out perfect out of the box with an 1800 ma battery. Flew it with ailerons on 50% exp and 50% D/R to keep it easy. It tend to drop in the corners, but nothing crazy. This is my first EDF and I'm addicted. I also launched it with a jetapult. It worked flawlessly, I put the tow hook right in front of the front skid plate. You can check out a video on YouTube with the Stinger launched with a Jetapult. Great fun and value hobby has delivered on everything I've ever ordered. |

My first EDF(Posted on October 2, 2012) This little jet was my introduction to the wonderful world of edf(s). It has proven to be a very durable airframe and has held up well despite the "abuses" of my early learning curve. Although I have moved on to faster bigger edfs this one is still hanging from my ceiling with 400+ flights logged and I still enjoy taking it with me every outing. The 3s stock setup is perfect for beginners with just enough power without being overpowered. Although if you get comfortable with 3s stock and are ready to move on this plane is very easily modified to run 4s and different motor if you so wish. I would suggest to those not familiar with edf jets, you use alot of expo for first flights as this thing has an amazing roll rate. In summary this jet is the best of both worlds, stable and as tame as you want for the beginner and yet fully acrobatic "screaming" across the sky for those more advanced. Sidenote stock setup should garner 60mph+ depending on elevation, my upgraded Stinger64 on 4s will cook at 90mph+. |

Great first Jet(Posted on September 13, 2012) easy to hand launch. Make sure you are elevated in case you do not throw it very hard. I just completed 20 flights. My first flight was a first turn disaster. It landed nose first at speed. I glued the foam back together and it flew great. Cut down the throws until you get the feel for the turns. It tends to drop altitude in the turn if you bank too hard. It flies great at 60% throttle. The landings are fast but very stable. Pulling up on the elevator to lift the nose just before landing is the trick to master. I made several not so great landings without any damage to the foam. The foam is very strong. I have tried other jets, bit I always pull this one out for fun. For the price it cannot be beat. I ordered a second one that is still in the box. The first one will not die. |
