Good quality,Good Looking, Flys great , Reasonable Price(Posted on August 14, 2014)
Built fast , Good quality, Good Looking,Reasonable pricing. And best of all flys great 1st time out, right from the get go.I've been flying for quite some time about 30 years and really enjoyed flying this little Jet. You kind of got to watch things alittle bit with any Rc plane you buy, you might have to use your own ideas if you don't think what they might use for linkages etc. are not right. I always believe there is pilot error that may cause a crash so while building take your time and don't just rush out to the field with a quickly built aircraft.I made room in the front for a 3 cell 2200 Battery Pack. I cut out a little ply to fit the larger pack in. I probably worked 3 hrs building this but went together well. I used a little 3inch packaging tape on bottom for skid plate for landing on grass. Does Aileron rolls, Loops and probably inverted flight too, I didn't try it on my first flight. I hand tossed it by holding my hands ahead of the wing and thru it over handed into the wind maybe just a little up and she took off nice, give it like others have said a little down once she starts flying to get your speed up and then fly it to see what it needs for adjustments mine did not need much and you will be happy cause it's controllable and lands nicely. Happy Jet Flying . You'll be Hooked.

This little jet flys like it was on rails. Very easy to fly and the response is crisp. Really looks and sounds real.
Everyone at the flying club had there doubts, but they were amazed at how good it flew.. Most websites sell

Its a keeper(Posted on May 6, 2014)
Yes, you can get this model from anywhere. But not for the low price and not the same day here in Illinois nw suburbs as you can pick it up from their door. The price is great/amazing and the product as described with review. An online RC shop that keeps the price low to the ground and value high so we can enjoy what we do. Thank you keep up the good work.

Good first EDF(Posted on November 5, 2013)
Just got back from my first flights and am very pleased with this EDF plane - my first. Nice and stable flier but sensitive to controls. Can be hand launch but be careful not to launch with too much nose up attitude. Has a nice jet like sound.

panther f9f df jet(Posted on September 6, 2013)
maided my f9f today after receiving it yesterday. took about three hours to complete. also using the dsms 6 ch rx from value hobby. they both work great. flew from a bungee launcher right up and straight ahead needed little trim at all. a 2200 3 s lipo 30-c is what i use. fits right in. the balance is right on keeping the battery pushed foward as far as it will go.great little jet i must say. it rolls ,but drops the nose somewhat [ expected] and falls out at the top of a loop [expected too. speed about 55- 60 mph. nice glide to land also. skids accross the grass nice. a very good start to a 85 mph jet with a don's 4800 kv motor and a 40 amp esc. you can't beat the price believe me there are df's for twice the money that don't fly this good. i can't account for hand launching. take your chances. i use a bungee on this and my stryker and that's why there still in one piece. get one or build one like i did. you'll love it...................RON

Fun little jet(Posted on March 23, 2013)
This is a fun little EDF jet to fly, it's pretty quick and will float in for a pretty smooth landing, not the easiest to hand launch tho? I wished valuehobby offered the steerable landing gear, but you can get it! I did, and installed it on mine and its easy to get in the air now...

OK but plane has NO ductwork(Posted on January 15, 2013)
I love the F9F Panther EDFs. This one is made from EPO which is a real plus however like all EPO it will take a set when stored. You will notice it by having to re-trim. Carbon fiber in the wings and horizontal stab can minimize the warping.

The plane is a bit of a pig. I upgraded to Don's Wicked 4800 KV motor and balance fan but this plane does NOT use it power very well because it has no ductwork to get the air into the fan. Yes, it has a cheater hole on the bottom but airflow to the fan is pretty dirty. I even added a nice thrust tube but still it will not fly as quickly as a stock STARMAX F9F .

Watch the CG. Set it to be a tad nose heavy otherwise it will tend to pitch up on launch.

Great plane for the price!(Posted on December 24, 2012)
I have about 10 flights on it so far. One of the easier EDFs to hand launch that I've owned. I had the F86 and had about a 50% success rate on hand launches but this one has no roll or tip stall tendencies. 100% successful launch rate so far. Even if you launch it accidentally nose high, it just floats in high alpha flight slowly sinking but the wings stay level. Just push the nose down level and let it pick up a little speed. The elevator does not need a lot of throw. Had to reduce the throws and add a good bit of expo to get nice smooth control of the elevator. The recommended throws in the book are a good starting point, then adjust from there to your liking. Easy to fly, easy to see even on gray skies with the color scheme and easy to land. On landings it just floats on in and I've yet to see a tip stall even if I just chop the throttle and glide it in.
